Week of August 28th Newsletter

We hope you’re having a great week so far! We wanted to start by sharing some news and a prayer request from Pastor Mark:

Out of love for others, Pastor Mark has been taking a weekly COVID test. He recently tested positive for the first time, is asymptomatic, and has been quarantining. All other family members have tested negative. He is following his doctor’s instructions and will return to church when cleared to do so.

Last week, we told you about Johannes, who’s now serving as our Worship Director and, this week, we want to welcome another new member of our Trinity staff team! The part we love the most is that both of them served with their spouses on Team Trinity and continue to do so in their new roles! Please help us welcome Cathy as our Director of Hospitality and Events. Wherever the party’s at (and you know we like to throw a lot of parties!), you’ll find Cathy! She and her husband Mike have served the church in so many ways and we’re so excited to welcome her to the staff team.

It’s almost here! Tomorrow evening…Flourish Women’s Life Groups will be re-branding to Real Women and the inaugural event will be Walk in Wisdom on Wednesday, August 25 from 6-8:30 PM. The event, based in the book of Proverbs, will feature Q&A panels in four different life stages – singles, marrieds, moms, and Golden Years. Childcare will be available and we’ll also be collecting special donations for Hope Women’s Center. The event is free, but we ask that you register online by clicking the link here. Also tomorrow night, Wednesday, August 25, Trinity Students will be having an event at nearby Imagine 3D Mini Golf (9180 E Talking Stick Way #F7 Scottsdale, AZ 85250). If you are or know a middle or high school-aged student, they’re invited! Meet the bus out front at Trinity at 6 PM and the group will return to Trinity around 8 PM for pickup. Trinity Students will also be moving back to Saturday nights starting Sept. 11 and they’d like to invite middle/high school students and their families to a BBQ that night at 6 PM! The event will take place at the Trinity Café, there will be a mechanical bull and jousting, and dinner will be provided. To RSVP, click here.

In just a few weeks, we’ll be celebrating Trinity’s 5th birthday on Sept. 11-12! The theme of the weekend is “God Showed Up” as we look back at all God has done at Trinity in the last five years and look forward to all He has for our future! At all three services – Saturday at 4 PM & Sunday at 9&11 AM, we’ll have carnival rides, bouncy houses, birthday cake shooters, a petting zoo, AND Pastor Mark will be starting a 12-week series in the book of James! You don’t want to miss it.

Speaking of life groups, Trinity Young Adults is re-launching on Monday nights starting September 13 under the leadership of Pastor Carl & Danni Steele. If you’re between the ages of 18-25, we invite you to join us at the Trinity Café on Monday nights at 6 PM! Stay tuned for more details.

We recently debuted Join the Team online to help you get plugged in to Team Trinity, which is basically all the people who give, serve, and are part of a life group at Trinity! To complete Join the Team online, click here.

Last weekend, Pastor Mark preached on serving gifts like mercy, administration, helps/service, and more, and this week, he’ll focus on speaking gifts – things like evangelism, leadership, and encouragement. It’s going to be another great weekend!
