This weekend, we celebrated 5 years of God’s faithfulness at Trinity Church and all the times that “God Showed Up” in the life of our church and the lives of the people!
To celebrate, we did one of the things we love to do most by throwing a party complete with carnival rides, cake, photo ops, a full choir, petting zoo, and waterslides!
Pastor Mark also started a new series “Faith Works” in the book of James, written by Jesus’ little brother, the “blue-collar scholar”, with a full workshop-style set to reflect James, Jesus, and other members of their family working with their hands and getting to work sharing the gospel with others.
Most importantly, we baptized 29 people who wanted to publicly declare their relationship with Jesus, bringing the total baptisms in the past 5 years at Trinity to 557 people! We’re so encouraged by all the Holy Spirit is doing in the lives of the people of our church!
One of the people we had the opportunity to baptize said, “I was almost crying on the way up, just because I was so filled with joy. I wanted to get baptized because I didn’t have the choice to do it the first time around […] I wanted to do it myself and feel like I chose Jesus and not somebody chose Him for me.”
Team Trinity deserves a special shoutout for all they did not only this weekend but all they do to serve our church family throughout the year! We truly could not do what we do and reach so many with the gospel without those who serve!
We also want to give a special thank you to Pastor Mark, Grace, and the Driscoll family for planting Trinity as a family ministry five years ago and it’s incredible to see all the people God has brought to our church family and all the growth we have seen since then!
Here’s to the next 5 years of exciting, fun, Jesus-centered, Spirit-filled ministry at Trinity!
