Weekly Digital Bulletin – September 9-10

By September 6, 2023No Comments

You’re invited to help us celebrate Trinity Church’s 7th birthday this weekend – September 9-10!

God has been so incredibly faithful to our church family and we are excited for a momentous weekend as we open the new Park out front of our church building, completing phase 1 of the Rebuilding Home campaign.

We know this space will be an incredible place for people to connect, make friendships, and foster community and we’re looking forward to lots of fun and celebrations in the Park, starting with our birthday!

We’ll have baptisms, Pastor Mark will start a new series in 1 Thessalonians, and there will be food trucksyard games, and free ice cream for kids.

Do you want to be baptized and celebrate how God has transformed your life and legacy?

We’ll be having baptisms at all 3 services this weekend – September 9 at 4 PM and September 10 at 9&11 AM!

If you’re ready to take that next step, click here to sign up and a pastor will contact you for next steps. We are so excited to celebrate with you!

Have you ever shared the gospel with a friend? You probably told them if they accept Jesus, they’ll go to Heaven when they die. This is true, but it’s not the complete story.  Jesus is not just for dying, but also for living. Before you go to Heaven, Heaven comes to you.

Starting this weekend, September 9-10, join us for a new series from Pastor Mark Driscoll in the book of 1 Thessalonians that answers the question “How do we invite Heaven down while we are surrounded by Hell?”

Everyone in attendance during the series will get a free study guide to help you study 1 Thessalonians personally or in a group!

Are you looking for community in your age, life stage, or area of the Valley? We have all kinds of life groups for all kinds of people and now is the time to sign up for a group before they start September 11-17!

Life groups will start back right after our 7th birthday and we have Real Men (on a new day!), Real Women (both times in the main room on campus!), Students (6th-12th grade), and home life groups all over the Valley!

After Students split into separate Middle & High School groups this summer, the biggest change for this Fall is to Real Men & Real Women! Real Men will meet in the main room on campus on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM starting Sept. 12 with live teaching from Pastor Mark while a few groups will meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM at the Trinity Café. On Wednesdays starting Sept. 13, both morning and evening Real Women groups will be meeting in the main room on campus.

Any questions or want to get plugged in to a group? Click here or visit Guest Services while you’re on campus this weekend!

To help us kick off our second Saturday service (starting September 16), our friend Sean Feucht will be returning to lead worship on Saturday, September 16 at 3 & 5 PM!

Founder of the global movement “Let Us Worship”, Sean Feucht is a missionary, author, and speaker and is currently on his “Kingdom to the Capitol” tour, leading thousands in worship in front of every state capitol building across the country.

With a desire to inspire the next generation of leaders, Sean is bringing his bold style of worship back to Trinity Church for an incredible night you won’t want to miss!

As you may have noticed, especially if you attend on Sunday, God is bringing more and more people to Trinity! We have had a recent surge of people wanting to be part of our wonderful church family and learn more about Jesus in a fun environment, which is a great problem to have!

BUT…especially on Sundays, we have had multiple people come to church, try to find parking unsuccessfully, and leave!

With that, we are asking our staff, male volunteers, key leaders, and any church family who would be willing to park near the Trinity Café just across the street from our main building (8499 E McDonald Drive). We will have a shuttle on Sunday mornings and will be adding a shuttle on Saturdays as well. See the map below for the best places to park.

Also, if you’re part of our church family that attends on Sundays, we would ask you to prayerfully consider moving to Saturdays. We currently have one service at 4 PM and will be moving to two Saturday services at 3 & 5 PM starting September 16 to make room for more people! Pastor Mark will always preach the Saturday 3 PM service live and the other three will be a mix of video and live preaching.

Just think, you can stay home and watch football on Sundays…AND Jesus attended church on Saturdays, so be like Jesus.

Thank you for being an incredible church family that is a joy to lead and love.

Whether you’re a good parent that needs some encouragement, a struggling parent realizing what you’re doing isn’t working, not yet a parent but want to be, or are expecting, this class is for you!

The truth is parenting is extremely difficult and no one is a perfect parent! This 5-week class is meant to introduce or reintroduce you to overarching Biblical principles that apply to parenting, showing you the Father heart of God and how He is a perfect example for imperfect people.

The class begins Oct 1st and runs every Sunday through Oct 29th at 9 AM at the Trinity Café.

Pastor Eden and his wife Brittany are excited to walk with you through this class. Their hope and prayer is that God will use this class to challenge and encourage you. The goal is that, through this class, you’ll learn how to live more by the power of the Holy Spirit, making you more like Jesus, which will, in turn, make you a better parent!

The biggest party of the Fall, FALL FESTIVAL, returns to Trinity Church October 28-29!

We’ll have services Saturday, October 28 at 3 & 5 PM and Sunday, October 29 at 9 & 11 AM, and GRAMMY nominee Rhett Walker will be leading worship all weekend (read below to learn more about him).

For the kids, we’ll have a 50-foot fun slide and petting zoo and for families and kids of all ages, we’ll have fall sweets and treats and a photo opportunity for a family photo!

GRAMMY and Dove Award-nominee Rhett Walker will be coming to Trinity, leading worship all weekend October 28-29, the same weekend as our annual Fall Festival!

Rhett received a GRAMMY nomination for his very first single “When Mercy Found Me” and is a three-time GMA Dove Award nominee for New Artist of the Year, Rock/Contemporary Album of the Year, and Rock/Contemporary Song of the Year.

His latest single “All Joy No Stress” follows the release of the single “Gospel Song” and “Believer”, which was in the top 10 on radio for 23 weeks. He has toured from intimate theatres to some of the biggest arenas, playing the Grand Ole Opry several times. He is currently on tour with Mac Powell (former lead singer of Third Day), Brandon Heath, and Jordan St. Cyr.

Park construction has been underway all summer and the grand opening is planned for NEXT WEEKEND as we celebrate our 7th birthday September 9-10! Next up, we will be working on the sports court and splash pad in the Backyard as well as working on space for our incredible volunteer team, Team Trinity.

THANK YOU for being an extremely generous church family!

The most updated numbers are as follows:

  • $3.41 million has been given
  • Another $866K has been pledged
  • Total given and pledged is $4.27 million of the $4.6 million campaign
  • Between gifts and pledges, we’re 93.3% of the way to the finish line!
  • …so there’s still time to get involved and it takes all of us working together as a church family to finish this project! It’s important to fulfill your pledges so we can make it to the finish line together!

To get updates you can’t find anywhere else, join our email list and you’ll get monthly updates as well as the weekly digital bulletin sent to your inbox.

As we rebuild home, we also would like to encourage you to not overlook the general fund, as the capital campaign is intended to be offerings above and beyond your normal tithe. While we look forward to the future, we also want to steward well and continue the ministry God has for us as a church family.
