Director of Communications and Marketing
Role Specific Requirements
1. Create and execute a focused communications and marketing strategy for the whole church, primarily focused on obtaining and engaging new people and driving results for events under the direction of the ExecutiveDirector of Ministries in alignment with the vision of the Senior Pastor /Visionary.
2. Lead and grow the Communications department being the driver of volunteer recruitment while delegating and elevating recruitment to the team, both staff and volunteers, while optimizing and leading the current Communication team, with a focus on growth preparing for a new location and increase in ministry size, not only the coming weekend but for the years ahead.
3. Be the main point of contact for Public Relations and all internal communications for the church, being able to handle a highly controversial pulpit and lead the entire organization in all things public relations related.
4. Work with fellow Department Directors for unity, efficiency, and successful ministry, ensuring that all the right things get communicated to the right people at the right time using the right channels.
5. Manage the Communications department and staff using the EOS operating system to best utilize staff and resources including the regular implementation of the EOS system throughout your department and run EOS pure.
6. Manage operational and capital expenditures related to the Communication department including budgets for ad spend, weekly events, various large events, capital projects and ministry expenses.

3. Cares deeply about the “top of the funnel” as they know it creates opportunities to connect new people to Jesus and Trinity Church.
4. Believes that stories allow people to see how God is moving within a church and thus storytelling must be weaved into the communication and marketing strategy.
Experience
- 5 plus years of communication or marketing experience with at least 3 years of leadership in the church space with at least 2 years experience in a church of 3000. The ideal canidate will have had exposure to a church of over 7,000.
- Has experience running or leading online advertising campaigns that have consistently met or exceeded metrics, driving proven and tangible results to the organization.
- Been involved as a key stakeholder in creating, managing and running a capital campaign that met or exceeded a goal of over $2 million.
- Understand omni channel marketing strategy with proven success in utilizing multiple channels of marketing, including non-traditional channels, to achieve or surpass goals. Preferred, but not required, experience working with high profile brands or online personalities.
- Built and scaled volunteer teams to execute multiple services or events across different days, and ministries and in different locations while maintaining a “pulse” on the team and developing the character and talent of those they lead.
- Developed young talent and raised them up to be leaders either in the church they served in or launched into a new ministry – built a team that replaced him.
